JOB PURPOSE: To be a member of a team of Leisure Assistants reporting to the Senior Leisure Assistant, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of Live Active Atholl.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of the Centre through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers
- To ensure the safety of customers through encouraging safe recreation and activity
- To maintain all playing surfaces in a safe and clean condition for use
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around the centre at all times
- To operate the point of sale till system in reception, which will include cash handling, processing of credit cards and cheques, taking bookings and selling fitness memberships
- To deal with enquiries from the public, both in person and on the telephone
- To ensure the efficient operation of the Centre\\\’s day to day programme through the preparation for, assistance with, and clearing up after events and activities in accordance with Normal Operating Procedures
- To assist in the marketing and promotion of the centre
- To assist with the development of programmed activities within the centre
- To check deliveries as required and keep stock records up to date
Health and Safety
- To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
- To liaise with Live Active Leisure maintenance team and other agencies to ensure that the Centre provides a safe, quality environment at all times
- To ensure that any defect or damage to the building or items of equipment is reported to management and, where competent, carry out minor repairs and other routine maintenance tasks
Training
To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in-house or externally
General
- To ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
- To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
