## Senior EngineerTelfordA Senior Engineer is sought in Telford to lead the design and delivery of control systems, working closely with a Controls Manager and contributing to a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team.### About the roleOur client is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer based in Telford to take ownership of control systems projects from concept through to commissioning. Reporting directly to the Controls Manager, you will be involved at every stage of the project lifecycle, from understanding client requirements to site acceptance testing. This is a hands-on role that also carries responsibility for mentoring less-experienced engineers and driving continuous improvement across the team.### What you will do* Understanding and interpreting client requirements to inform control systems design* Producing electrical and controls concept design documentation, including Functional Design Specifications, Safety Requirements Specifications, Single Line Diagrams, Network Topology, Device Layout, Cause and Effect Matrices, and Safety Block Diagrams* Handing over to the Hardware Design team and reviewing designs produced* Producing Software Design Specifications and delivering software and configuration outputs for PLC, HMI, SCADA, Robot, and Drives systems* Maintaining the Technical Construction File* Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing* Leading and supporting Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing* Complying with relevant industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards* Meeting project milestones and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives* Mentoring less-experienced engineers### What we are looking for* Minimum BEng, BSc, or Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical or Electronic Engineering* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role* Strong understanding of electrical control systems* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Confident, proactive, and well-organised approach to work* Strong problem-solving ability with a hands-on attitude* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently* Adaptable, enthusiastic, and dependable #J-18808-Ljbffr
