## Applications EngineerTelfordAn exciting opportunity for a degree-qualified Applications Engineer to join a leading systems integrator based in Telford, supporting sales teams and delivering high-quality technical proposals across a range of industry sectors.### About the roleOur client is a well-established systems integrator with a strong reputation for technical excellence. They are looking for a motivated Applications Engineer to sit at the interface between their sales and engineering teams, translating complex customer requirements into clear, compelling technical proposals. Based in Telford, the role offers variety and the chance to work across multiple vertical markets. Some travel within the UK and overseas will be required.### What you will do* Prepare high-quality quotations, proposals and costings, explaining technical solutions clearly and capturing the full scope of supply* Configure technical solutions from end-customer specifications across core vertical markets* Estimate resources and equipment required, using appropriate engineering software and tools* Produce system topologies and supporting technical documentation for proposals* Provide technical support to the sales team, acting as the key interface between sales and engineering* Deliver high-quality documentation to customers using appropriate software tools* Attend customer sites, survey meetings, tender meetings and project review meetings as required* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams* Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures and all relevant company standards* Work outside normal hours when required to meet deadlines### What we are looking for* Degree-qualified in electrical/electronic or mechatronic engineering* Knowledge of systems integration concepts and technologies* Appreciation of core commercial concepts and common industry drivers* Proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio* Previous experience in a similar applications or pre-sales engineering role is preferred* Knowledge and experience of one or more of the following: AC, DC and Servo VSDs (including motor sizing from first principles), PLC, SCADA/HMI, MES/MIS networks, fieldbus protocols, mechanical drives, robotics, safety systems, or Industry 4.0* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong attention to detail with a confident, proactive and organised approach* Ability to work on own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team* Adaptable, hands-on, enthusiastic and reliable with good problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
