The Financial Director will be a senior member of the finance leadership team who will lead all accounting and tax functions, ensure financial accuracy and compliance and act as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive team. This person will be responsible for designing, building, and leading the accounting and tax operations to enable rapid growth and scalability.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and overseeing financial reporting
- Managing audits
- Developing key policies
- Ensuring tax compliance efficiency
- Leading the implementation of finance systems
Accounting Operations
- Lead and oversee the accounting operations
- Implement training, tools, and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy across the organisation
- Develop and optimise key financial procedures
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Own the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards
- Manage annual audits and act as a liaison to external auditors
Tax Strategy
- Prepare Audit Committee reports, financial dashboards, investor updates
- Work with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners
- Interact with Investor as needed to align reporting and best practices
Essential REQUIRED SKILLS/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU:
- 15+ years’ senior leadership experience in finance and accounting, ideally within a global, high‑growth or scale‑up environment
- Proven experience implementing and scaling finance systems and ERPs
- Exposure to international operations, multi‑currency, and FX management
- Understanding of global tax issues and transfer pricing
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and compliance
- Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with strong problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate financial concepts for non‑financial stakeholders
- High integrity and strong ethical standards
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a must
Desirable:
- Big 4 experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in sports, media, events, or entertainment sectors
- Familiarity with media rights, sponsorship, and broadcast contracts
