The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. Launched in 2022, the League was designed to expand the sport on a global level and create new value within the golfing ecosystem while enhancing the game’s societal impact. HISTORY

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.

The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.

LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.

Role Objective

LIV Golf is seeking a forward-thinking Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of technology solutions that drive innovation, scalability, and excellence across our digital ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology and Product, you will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering technology strategies that align with our mission to elevate the fan and player experience

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions that meet business objectives, ensuring scalability, performance and security.

• Evaluate and recommend best-fit technologies, platforms, and frameworks to drive innovation across our digital and operational platforms.

• Create architecture roadmaps and ensure alignment with the overall technology strategy.

• Partner with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, data, and operations to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.

• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

• Lead the technical execution of projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

• Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and industry best practices.

• Oversee integration efforts with third-party systems and platforms.

• Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and processes to maintain system integrity and quality.

• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.

• Identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor\’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment industries.

• Deep understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern software architecture paradigms (e.g., microservices, serverless, APIs).

• Experience with data management, analytics, and integration platforms.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical, business-oriented solutions.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with fan engagement platforms, mobile applications, or live event technology.

• Knowledge of video streaming technologies, digital content delivery, or OTT platforms.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools.

• Passion for sports, particularly golf, is a plus!
