Now in its fourth season, the LIV Golf League features 13 teams competing for both an Individual and Team title at premier golf courses across the world. As the first truly global golf League, LIV Golf is constantly innovating to set a new standard in sport and redefine the fan experience through the lens of music, culture, and entertainment, while growing the game of golf for a new era of players and fans around the world. ROLE OBJECTIVE/THE TEAM
The Photo Editor will be at the heart of crafting and communicating the visual story that defines the brand. As a Photo Editor, your role will be pivotal in curating a comprehensive and high-quality image library, blending non-event and event responsibilities to capture the essence of the brand. This position will involve some international travel. During events, there will be some required work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during tournament hours. The non-event schedule follows traditional workdays.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Select, edit, and process imagery in real time during and after tournaments (second selects) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality visuals.
- Write accurate and concise captions and apply metadata to all images using industry-standard IPTC formatting.
- Review incoming photos to ensure they meet quality standards before archiving.
- Tag and organise images for quick retrieval and proper archiving across both local systems and digital asset management platforms.
- Upload edited imagery via FTP.
- Distribute approved images to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with player/team image approvals.
- Support photographers on-site by assisting with image workflow, file management, and adherence to creative direction or shot lists.
- Respond quickly to image requests and deliver files in the correct format, resolution, and metadata structure.
- Help maintain coverage consistency across events by assisting with shot list development and ensuring photographers have clear direction.
- Support coverage for all LIV Golf tournaments and assist in the editing and delivery of imagery for other Majors throughout the season.
- Assist in the setup of the mobile office at events.
- Ensure proper connectivity is provided on-site for Stills and Motion.
- Ensure appropriate desk space and power is ready for the team.
- Ensure proper safe equipment storage is provided for all vendors.
- Ensure all accreditation is correct for vendors on-site.
- Track usage of commercial partners and sponsors for the league and teams.
- Assist editors with metadata and code replacements.
REQUIRED SKILLS/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU
- Proficiency with Apple computers and professional software including Photo Mechanic, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and FTP tools.
- Strong understanding of photography, editorial standards, and digital imaging workflows.
- Solid caption writing and copyediting skills with attention to detail and speed.
- Ability to identify compelling images under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience working in live sports or editorial photography environments.
- Familiarity with IPTC standards and professional metadata tagging practices.
Work Schedule & Physical Requirements
Travel required to all LIV Golf tournaments (Domestic and International). Additional events as needed, such as majors, media week, etc. During tournaments: Work primarily Monday through Sunday, with long flexible hours depending on event needs. Non-event weeks: Traditional Monday–Friday schedule. The role requires frequent communication, consistent computer-based work, and the ability to operate quickly and accurately under pressure as a team and independently.
