About us

Liv Architects is a chartered Architects practice located in Flitcham, Norfolk. We specialise in contemporary and sustainable new build homes, as well as extensions and renovations. We are seeking an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant/ newly qualified Architect or architectural technician to join our team from the end of summer 2026. The small size of our team means that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on all stages of our projects, with good opportunities for progression and plenty of variety. We are also open to applicants from different backgrounds/ routes into architecture via complimentary study paths such as interior design.

About you

You will be required to:

  • Undertake measured building surveys both alone and with others
  • Draw up surveys and as-existing drawings
  • Assist senior staff with concept designs, including preparing drawings, presentations and documents
  • Produce computer (Sketchup) and physical 3D models and visualisations, as well as physical models
  • Assist with or prepare Planning Applications and Building Regulations drawings
  • Support senior staff in Contract Administration
  • Liaise professionally with clients, statutory authorities, contractors and consultants as needed

You will:

  • Have a passion for low energy design, and interest in domestic and rural architecture
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates a high level of creativity and presentation, as well as some knowledge of technical detailing and Building Regulations compliance
  • Be motivated, pro-active, organised, questioning and able to take initiative
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English
  • Have a minimum of 2 years UK based practice experience
  • Ideally have previous experience with Vectorworks, Photoshop, InDesign and Sketchup
  • Live locally to our studio and projects (Norfolk)

Salary and Benefits

Salary £34,000-£37,000 pa dependent on experience. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension scheme and private healthcare (following probation period). Own car and drivers licence essential due to our remote location and the nature of our work; applicants without this will not be considered. This role is office based, so candidates based beyond commuting distance from our studio will not be considered.
