The Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) Contracts Manager supports the delivery, performance and compliance of contracts related to vehicle restraint systems, including safety barriers, guardrails, and associated infrastructure. Working alongside senior managers, this role helps ensure contractual obligations are met while maintaining Littlewood Group’s high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of VRS contracts from tender through to completion
  • Assist in coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Help ensure works comply with UK standards (including EN 1317) and client specifications
  • Monitor contractor performance, programmes, and budgets with guidance from senior staff
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to check quality and safety compliance
  • Assist in identifying and managing risks, variations, and contract issues
  • Support preparation and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Provide support to procurement and commercial teams during tender processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost control

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Possess strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Possess good IT skills
  • Driven and motivated to succeed, happy working to targets
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Organised, with good time management skills
  • Can adapt to different tasks quickly, efficiently, and confidently
  • Team orientated, however capable of working autonomously in a busy office environment
  • Knowledge of the fencing industry
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • NVQ level 4 or 5
