Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the successful delivery of structural steelwork and architectural metalwork projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-stage experience in construction or engineering who is looking to develop their project management skills in a specialist, high-quality fabrication environment. The role will involve assisting in all stages of the project lifecycle—from planning and procurement to delivery and close-out—working closely with experienced project managers, engineers, and site teams. Key Responsibilities: * Project Support & Coordination Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. Support the preparation of project documentation including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports. Help manage subcontractors, suppliers, and fabrication teams to ensure timely delivery. * Technical & Document Control Assist in the review of engineering drawings and technical specifications. Maintain drawing registers, RFIs, and document tracking systems. Ensure project documentation is up to date and aligned with the latest revisions. * Site & Stakeholder Communication Attend site meetings and liaise with site teams, clients, and external consultants. Support Project Managers in tracking progress, identifying issues, and ensuring smooth communication across all stakeholders. Assist with snagging, quality checks, and health & safety documentation. * Commercial Awareness Monitor material orders and delivery schedules. Assist with valuations, change order logs, and cost tracking. Learn to identify potential risks and contribute to mitigation planning. Qualifications & Experience: * Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 1–3 years of experience in a construction, fabrication, or project coordination role—preferably with exposure to steelwork or metalwork. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Good understanding of drawings, schedules, and construction terminology. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project); familiarity with CAD or Tekla is a plus. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Eagerness to learn, develop, and take initiative.
