Little Rays Nursery is seeking a Deputy Manager for our Lisburn Afterschool setting to support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery and ensure a high standard of care, learning, and development for all children. This role involves supporting the management team, supervising staff, helping organise activities for children, and assisting with the general administration and smooth running of the setting. The successful candidate will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel supported and encouraged to thrive.

Requirements:

  • CCLD Level 5 (or equivalent) completed or currently in progress
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar childcare or management role
  • Up-to-date First Aid and Designated Officer training (or willingness to complete)
  • Ability to support and supervise team members and assist with daily operations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

The role will also involve supporting staff development, maintaining records, helping plan activities suitable for the children's ages, and assisting the Manager with the overall management of the setting.
