We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Ballymena. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys helping children learn, develop, and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Hours: Full-time 30 hours per week; also open to part-time positions.
Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, nurturing setting.
- Work as part of a friendly team to implement early years activities and routines.
- Assist with daily care and supervision of children as required by nursery policies.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare & Education, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Essential Skills in English, Maths, and ICT (or equivalent), with proof required.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over in line with minimum standards.
- Previous nursery experience is desirable.
- If you work 21 hours or more per week in a childcare setting, you may be eligible to complete your qualification through the Apprenticeship NI programme.
