Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join this lovely Preschool setting, offering a fantastic opportunity to shape and lead in a close-knit, nurturing environment. This exciting role will involve working in a small, intimate nursery with a capacity for 50 children aged 2 to 5 years. As Deputy Manager, you\’ll have the unique chance to bring your ideas to life, working collaboratively with a dynamic, supportive management team that values innovation and creativity. We are looking for a motivated individual with experience as an Acting Deputy Manager, Third in Charge, or Room Leader, ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude towards working with children. They should demonstrate good mental and physical health, be friendly and flexible, and show a willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role within our nurturing Montessori environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Manager to oversee the smooth running of the nursery
  • Leading the staff team to deliver high quality practice within the nursery
  • Ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and development for children placed in the Day Nursery
  • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
  • Responsible for any tasks delegated by the Management Team.
