A successful and award-winning architectural and structural metalworks company, Littlehampton Welding are looking for a new Site Manager to manage the daily running of the site supervisors and sub-contractors. They will ensure an organised, clean, safe work place in line with our policies and processes, regulatory standards and legislation and processes in line with our project delivery standards and deadlines.

As Site Manager you will need to:

  • Ensure the effective & safe daily operation of all installation sites.
  • Be responsible for the coordination & control of projects from design through to completion and handover.
  • Ensure that all completed works have been checked for and are free of errors and complete required handover documentation.
  • Liaise with the Drawing office Manager and/or draughtspersons to ensure drawings are available for site operatives to carry out their assigned tasks and notify them of any errors or omissions.
  • Liaise with the Works Manager to organise the transport to site of all part fabricated or completed works, ensuring that wherever possible fabrication, installation programs and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the necessary Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Lift Plans are completed and made available to the relevant site operatives and clients.
  • Ensure that Site Safety files are issued in a timely manner and review completion in line with client requirements, legislation or compliance obligations.
  • Liaise with the relevant contract manager to ensure the required labour is available to complete site works within the specified timeline.
  • Requisition of the required plant, equipment and materials to meet work schedules and/or contractual requirements.

Personal Requirements:

  • Previous experience with steel erection is required.
  • Appointed Person (Blue Card) is preferred.
