Come and join the Littlefish team! We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you'll play a key role in delivering practical, commercial legal advice across the business while helping to shape and improve our legal and compliance frameworks.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role where you'll work closely with stakeholders across sales, finance operations, procurement, and leadership teams, providing expert guidance on commercial contracts, compliance, risk management, and legal best practice.

You will be:

  • Providing day-to-day legal advice on commercial, contractual, compliance, and risk-related matters.
  • Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing customer contracts, MSAs, and variation agreements.
  • Advising on supplier, reseller, referral, and partner agreements to ensure robust legal protection for the business.
  • Supporting commercial and procurement teams during customer and supplier negotiations.
  • Developing and improving legal processes, contract management systems, and supplier due diligence procedures.
  • Identifying and managing legal risks while balancing commercial objectives.
  • Supporting the business with dispute resolution and legal proceedings when required.
  • Delivering internal legal and compliance training on areas such as GDPR, anti-bribery corruption, confidentiality, and contractual obligations.
  • Supporting legal innovation initiatives, including the adoption of automation and AI-enabled efficiencies within legal processes.

We need a candidate with:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (or a similar jurisdiction).
  • Significant commercial contract and commercial law experience.
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience providing practical legal advice within an in-house legal team or private practice supporting commercial clients.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and risk-management capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience within an IT Managed Services, technology, or outsourcing environment.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating public sector contracts and framework agreements.
  • Knowledge of CCS frameworks, public sector procurement, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Experience advising on TUPE matters.
  • Understanding of data protection and GDPR compliance.
