We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Nursery Practitioner to be based in our Beckenham Queens Road Nursery. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.
You can earn up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, working Full time (40 hours per week) – 4 days a week.
To be considered for the Nursery Practitioner role you must have:
- Level 2/3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
- Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

- The welcome bonus will be paid in two instalments. £500 will be paid in the first salary payment after joining, then another £500 upon completion of probation (6 months, unless extended). The welcome bonus will be subject to normal Tax & NI deductions.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare:- Ensuring all areas of the EYFS and Statutory Framework are met at all times.
- Ensuring Safeguarding/Child Protection Policies and Procedures are implemented.
- Provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, taking children’s individual needs into consideration.
- Ensuring the nursery offers an environment which reflects the cultural diversity of all children.
- Follow Observation, Planning and Assessment Framework within the Little Elms Group.
- Reflect on daily practice and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with parents.
- To be the key person for a designated group of children (not applicable to relief or lunch cover).
- Respond to, and report health and safety issues as and when they arise.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness/tidiness within the nursery.
- Carrying out health and safety checks in line with Company Policy.
- Follow control measures detailed within Company Risk Assessments.
- Responsible for duties associated with the nursery playroom(s), such as maintaining children’s records and any other duties as reasonably requested.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- To meet deadlines as set by the Company.
