The company is unable to sponsor employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Nursery Practitioner to be based in our Beckenham Queens Road Nursery. The nursery offers state‐of‐the‐art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.

You can earn up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, working full time (40 hours per week) – 4 days a week.

To be considered for the Nursery Practitioner role you must have:

  • Level 2/3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
  • Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Certificate and satisfactory employment references.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undertake online safeguarding training and all positions are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

  • The welcome bonus will be paid in two instalments. £500 will be paid in the first salary payment after joining, then another £500 upon completion of probation (6 months, unless extended). The welcome bonus will be subject to normal Tax & NI deductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare: Ensuring all areas of the EYFS and Statutory Framework are met at all times.
  • Ensuring Safeguarding/Child Protection Policies and Procedures are implemented.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children, taking children's individual needs into consideration.
  • Ensuring the nursery offers an environment which reflects the cultural diversity of all children.
  • Follow Observation, Planning and Assessment Framework within the Little Elms Group.
  • Reflect on daily practise and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with parents.
  • To be the key person for a designated group of children (not applicable to relief or lunch cover).

Health & Safety:

  • Respond to, and report health and safety issues as and when they arise.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness/tidiness within the nursery.
  • Carrying out health and safety checks in line with Company Policy.
  • Follow control measures detailed within Company Risk Assessments.

General:

  • Responsible for duties associated with the nursery playroom(s), such as maintaining children's records and any other duties as reasonably requested.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • To meet deadlines as set by the Company.
