About Little Elms Day care Nursery: Little Elms Day care Nursery is a family‑run group of nurseries dedicated to providing exceptional childcare and early years education across 7 locations. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Field Support Staff member to join our team. This key role will provide on‑ground support across our 7 sites, ensuring quality standards are maintained and operational challenges, such as staff‑to‑child ratios, are effectively managed. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone passionate about childcare and early education who thrives in a fast‑paced and varied environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Support nursery managers and teams to uphold the highest quality standards in care and education. Provide feedback and guidance to staff to enhance learning environments and daily practices.
  • Ratio Support: Assist with staff coverage to ensure compliance with staff‑to‑child ratios at all sites. Step into rooms to support teams during peak times, absences, or emergencies.
  • Operational Support: Work closely with managers to address immediate operational needs. Act as a liaison between nurseries and the central team, communicating challenges and solutions effectively.
  • Training and Development: Mentor staff to improve practices and maintain consistency across all sites. Assist with the onboarding of new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into their roles.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and uphold all health and safety policies and procedures. Address any compliance issues proactively to maintain a safe and secure environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Experience in a senior childcare role, such as Deputy Manager, Manager, or Area Support.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
  • A proactive problem‑solver who can adapt to different settings and challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites and work across different locations as needed.
