We are looking for a Senior Swimming Academy Coordinator to provide a high-quality level of customer service and supervisory experience, with the ability to expand our swimming programme and membership. You will be based at the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth and work across multiple sites. You will work for our Swimming Academy which aims to provide swimmers with a high level of water confidence, swimming techniques, and general water skills. All lessons are designed to mix education and safety with the fun side of swimming and work towards the Swim England National Plan.

You will:

  • Manage, motivate and co‑ordinate the swimming teacher team and ensure their effective performance and induction to the centres where they work.
  • Oversee and support the Swimming Academy Co‑ordinator and work towards financial and programme occupancy targets.
  • Liaise with Operations Managers regarding site‑specific operational issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the programming needs by carrying out recruitment and induction processes for all centres.
  • Deal with any customer enquiries and complaints as necessary in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with the Customer Policies.
  • Produce programmes and assist the Swimming Academy Manager in the development of the swimming lesson programmes.
  • Observe and mentor swimming academy colleagues.

You will need:

  • Applicants must hold a valid Swim England Level 2/STA full certificate.
  • Practical experience dealing with customers on the front line.
  • Practical experience working as a swimming instructor.
  • Practical experience managing employees and resources.
  • Able to work unsocial hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
