At least 1 year of experience working with children (nursery, school, playwork, after-school club), or a relevant apprenticeship
Confidence supervising primary-age children and following a school’s routines
Level 2 or 3 childcare qualifications are welcome and are paid at a higher rate
Reliable, calm and good at working as part of a team
Checks and trainingAn Enhanced DBS check, including the children’s barred list check, is required. We’ll guide you through it. If you already have a certificate, you’ll bring the original with you on your first day.Identity and right-to-work checks, and two referencesA pediatric first aid certificate is needed before you work alone. We arrange this if you don’t have one.
