We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and caring Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of our nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident early years professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare, supporting staff and creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
- Help lead, motivate and support the nursery team to provide excellent care and education.
- Ensure children’s learning and development is supported in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Promote and maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals.
- Support staff supervision, training, mentoring and performance development.
- Assist with rotas, ratios, room organisation and the smooth running of daily routines.
- Help ensure nursery policies, procedures and records are maintained to a high standard.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
- Has experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a senior role.
