We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
Nursery Manager –Little Spring Wonders Daycare Nursery
Salary:Starting from £35,500.00-£41,000.00 per annum (depending on Qualifications)
Contract:Permanent 40 hour per week (flexible working arrangement can be discussed).
Little Spring Wonders Daycare Nursery aims to provide outstanding care and education to our children and families. Our family is now entering its 15th year running our Daycare Nursery, having achieved an outstanding rating with Ofsted in 2017 and November 2022.
Our Nursery offers care to children aged 0 to 5, with an additional wrap around care service to our local Primary School.
Situated in the heart of Great Baddow, we consistently look to support and network with our local community.
Your role within the Nursery:
- To manage the Nursery on a daily basis ensuring outstanding childcare each and every day.
- To motivate and lead the staff team as an inspirational role model.
- To provide the best possible outcomes for all children.
- To effectively lead any inspections from Ofsted or local authorities.
- To observe, analyse and improve the performance of staff.
- To manage the Designated Safeguard Lead, ensuring that all children are looked after and cared for to the highest level.
- To lead all staff CPD and training, including the induction process for new staff.
- To support the Directors with recruitment across the nursery.
- To support the SENCO effectively develop all children from their own starting points.
- To deliver an effective and positive ethos across the family run Nursery.
- To ensure that all staff members are working to the highest standards set out in our policies and procedures.
- To effectively manage all expectations of legal duties indicated within the EYFS, including staff ratios within the nursery.

- Qualified Leader to Level 3 or above with a recognised Early Years Qualification.
- Has experience working within a setting with an Outstanding / Good outcome rating.
- Has experience leading a Nursery as a Manager or Deputy Manager for at least two years.
- Has experience developing practitioners knowledge and performance.
- Has experience building warm and positive working relationships with parents and families.
- An individual with knowledge and understanding of the Safeguarding legal requirements of a nursery as indicated by Ofsted, DfE and EYFS.
