L

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our friendly team at our well-established Montessori nursery in Fulham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, brings positivity to their day, and genuinely loves supporting children’s development in a warm, caring environment.

We are a well-established, family-run group of Montessori nurseries with over 30 years of experience providing exceptional childcare in London. Our nurseries are known for their nurturing atmosphere, low staff turnover, and excellent reputation with parents and local childcare professionals.

We’re seeking a Deputy Manager who shares these values and will help us continue delivering outstanding early years education.

About the Role

This is a dual role combining room-based work with leadership and administrative responsibilities. As Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Support, guide, and motivate a passionate team of practitioners
  • Mentor and train staff to maintain high standards of care and education
  • Lead on observations, supervisions, and staff development
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding and EYFS requirements
  • Build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to planning and implementing the Montessori curriculum
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with daily operations and administration

This position is 50% in the room, 50% out of the room.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings both professionalism and joy to their work:

  • Level 3 Childcare qualification or above (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
  • Previous leadership or senior practitioner experience
  • A caring, compassionate approach to working with children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, reliable, and full of positive energy
  • Montessori experience is an advantage but not essential

What We Offer

  • Supportive, close‑knit team with low staff turnover
  • Regular mentoring, professional development, and career progression
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Extra paid day off for your birthday (after 1 year)
  • Well-being Wednesdays - weekly treats for all staff
  • Performance and attendance‑based bonuses
  • Free meals
  • A positive, nurturing environment where you can make a real difference every day
