A professional couple based in Virginia Water, Surrey (Postcode: GU25), is looking for an experienced, highly reliable Full-Time Live-In Housekeeper / Cook to manage their 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home. The ideal candidate will be diligent, autonomous, and capable of taking full responsibility for the smooth running of the household and pet care when the clients travel (as the principals are away frequently, spending roughly 40-50% of the year abroad).
EU Passport: Mandatory, as travel to Switzerland with the family is required 4 to 6 times per year.
Driver: A full driving licence and your own car are essential for errands and occasional transport duties for an elderly relative.
Pets: A genuine, confident love for cats is required, as the home has two indoor cats (duties include feeding four times a day, daily brushing, harness walking, and pet sitting during travel).
Accommodation: A separate, spacious modern one-bedroom annexe featuring its own living area and basic cooking appliances, with access to the main house kitchen.
Working hours: 40 hours per week (7 hours per day), including occasional weekend work and pet sitting when the principals travel.
Duties include:
Housekeeping & Household Management: Maintaining the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home to an exceptionally high standard; managing routine cleaning, laundry, wardrobe care, and general home organisation
Cooking & Meal Preparation: Cooking evening dinners 1 to 2 times per week when the couple is in residence, batch cooking items for the freezer, and preparing/serving meals for small dinner parties (approximately once per month)
Pet Care: Managing the daily care routine for two indoor cats (feeding, brushing, harness walks) and providing pet sitting when the family travels
Errands & Driving: Conducting grocery shopping, local errands, and transporting an elderly relative when needed
Travel: Accompanying the family to Switzerland up to 4 to 6 times per year
The family is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible (ASAP) and is willing to wait for the right candidate.
