A welcoming family based in Slough, Berkshire, is seeking a reliable and proactive Part-time Housekeeper to help maintain their busy family home. The role is ideal for someone highly organised, flexible, and confident managing a wide range of household duties.
The family has four children, including a baby due, a newborn, a preschooler, and a school-aged child. No childcare is required, but the candidate should be comfortable working in a child‑friendly household.
The housekeeper will be responsible for all aspects of household upkeep, including deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, organisation, changing beds and linens, and keeping the home clean and well organised. The role will also include household management tasks such as running errands, managing deliveries, organising shopping, and helping with the family's daily routines.
The family has two dogs and two cats. No pet care is required, but the candidate should be comfortable around animals. A driver with their own car is required.
Duties include:
- maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the family home
- carrying out deep cleaning and general housekeeping
- managing laundry, ironing, and putting clothes away
- managing wardrobes and household organisation
- dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
- changing beds and linens
- managing household routines and organisation
- running errands and organising shopping
- managing deliveries and household administration
- using initiative to identify and complete additional household tasks
- working comfortably in a busy, child‑friendly home
- being comfortable around two dogs and two cats
