A lovely family in Camden, London is looking for a Part-time Nanny to assist them in caring for their school-aged child. They seek someone proactive and engaging who can carry out all childcare duties. The role includes all childcare duties and a key aspect of this role involves travelling during school holidays, so someone confident and experienced is a must. They want a warm, companionable individual to become a valued part of their family, offering homework support as needed. The family has a dog at home which require some pet care so someone comfortable with pets is ideal. There is a possibility for the family to relocate in Central London potentially near Hyde Park or Marylebone. A driver who holds a full driving license is a must and a car can be provided.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: Saturday and Sunday for 10 to 12 hours per day, between 20 to 24 hours per week. During school holiday, the nanny will be required to do 5 to 7 days per week with extensive travelling with the family.
Duties include:
Handle school drop-offs and pickups, including transport for extracurricular activities
Prepare healthy meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met, and tidy up afterwards
Provide supervision and assistance with homework
Plan and supervise engaging, age-appropriate activities (e.g., outings, playdates), ensuring the child\’s safety
Engage in stimulating play, promote hygiene, keep areas tidy, and maintain open communication with parents
Keep the child\’s areas (bedroom, play areas) tidy and organised
Wash dishes and clean up after the child\’s meals and snacks
Handle the child\’s laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away
Maintain general cleanliness in common areas used by the child, such as wiping down surfaces or sweeping up crumbs
Plan and make all of the child\’s healthy meals and snacks, accounting for any dietary needs
Promote healthy eating habits and ensure the child stays hydrated
Clean up the kitchen after all meal preparations and snacks
Offer input for grocery lists regarding the child\’s food
