A family residing in Islington, London is seeking a part-time nanny-housekeeper to help care for their two school-aged children and keep their home well-maintained. They are looking for someone proactive and flexible who can handle a mix of childcare and housekeeping duties. The role includes school pick-ups, supervising the children, grocery shopping, cleaning, and preparing family meals.
The ideal candidate should be confident in cooking Italian cuisine each evening and comfortable taking on thorough deep cleaning tasks around the home. While there is a strong preference for Italian speakers, English-speaking candidates are also welcome to apply. A valid first aid qualification is essential for this role.
Working hours: Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, total of 30 hours per week
Duties include:
Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
Running pick ups from school and activities
Keeping children\'s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children\'s structure and development
Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
Making beds and replacing linens as needed
Cleaning and organising dish ware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
Cooking healthy meals for the family
