A Kensington-based family seeks a Nanny‑Housekeeper to care for their two school‑aged children while ensuring the home is kept clean and well‑maintained. Experience with young children is a must. The role requires a confident cook who is comfortable preparing meals from a variety of cuisines. A valid First Aid qualification is essential for this position.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Flexibility to do some weekends if needed.
Duties
- Bathing the children and maintaining proper hygiene
- Ensuring the children’s safety, well‑being, and development
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
- Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
- Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
- Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
- Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children’s structure and development
- Ensuring the cleanliness and general upkeep of the residence
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and household surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
- Carrying out regular cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
- Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
- Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
- Making beds and replacing linens as needed
- Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
Requirements
- Experience with young children
- Valid First Aid qualification
