Overview
A lovely family in Notting Hill, London is looking for a full-time nanny-housekeeper to provide attentive care for their newborn, expected to arrive in October 2025. They’re seeking a responsible and nurturing professional with solid experience in newborn care, who can also manage household tasks smoothly.
Responsibilities
- General childcare for the newborn and older children as applicable
- Keeping the home clean and organised and cooking for the family, including batch-prepared meals with a background in European cuisine
- Occasionally feeding the family cat
- Work hours: Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week on a flexible schedule
- Drop off and pick up to school and other activities
- Assisting with nappy changes and preparing bottles for infants
- Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
- Keeping children\’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
- Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings
- Helping with family meals, meal planning, shopping and cooking
- Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
- Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
- Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
- Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
- Making beds and replacing linens as needed
- Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
Requirements
- First aid qualification is required
- Experience in newborn care
- English-speaking applicants are welcome; knowledge of French or Spanish is a bonus
