Overview
A Harpenden-based household is looking for an After-school Nanny to help look after their precious baby and school-aged child. They seek an experienced, caring and easygoing candidate who has a basic understanding of child development. The role includes all standard childcare duties. A driver who owns a car and holds a full driving license is required for this role. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours
Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 8:30 am then 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 17.5 hours per week. School holidays: Monday to Friday; split shift from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, approximately 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Picking the child up from school and transporting her to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the child
- Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
- Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the child
- Providing homework assistance and supporting the child educational growth
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the child structure and development

- Driver who owns a car and holds a full driving licence
- A valid first aid qualification
