Location

Little HQ, Park Royal

Hours

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, typically between 12pm - 8pm (evening shift) with flexibility as required, including weekend work when needed.

The Role

As a Raw Materials Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring every ingredient and piece of packaging meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

This role is all about making sure what goes into our products is as exceptional as what comes out.

You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to keep everything running smoothly, supporting the production of products our customers love.

It’s a hands‑on, detail‑driven role where your work directly impacts the quality and integrity of what we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Raw Material Inspection
  • Perform quality checks on incoming raw materials against approved specifications and standards.
  • Verify supplier documentation (Certificates of Analysis, safety data sheets, compliance certificates).
  • Responsible for creating ingredient QAS and testing standards, with an understanding of how this subsequently impacts the quality attributes of our finished products.
  • Sampling & Testing
  • Collect representative samples of raw materials for laboratory analysis.
  • Conduct physical and chemical tests as per defined protocols.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Involvement in ad‑hoc raw material and supplier approvals.
  • Ensure all inbound materials meet regulatory, safety, and company quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non‑conformance reports.
  • Non‑Conformance Management
  • Identify and report deviations or defects in raw materials.
  • Initiate corrective actions and communicate with procurement or suppliers as needed.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding quality issues and documentation discrepancies.
  • Support resolution of quality concerns promptly to avoid production delays.
  • Inventory & Traceability
  • Ensure proper labelling and traceability of raw materials from receipt to storage.
  • Monitor quarantine and release status of materials.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inbound material quality control.
  • Contribute to the Brighter Future Sustainability Strategy and company’s linked OKRs. Support your function and any direct report(s) to contribute too.
