Role Overview
We are looking for a hardworking, detail-driven Housekeeper to help keep our rooms and public areas spotless and welcoming. As Housekeeper you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness and presentation of our bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and public areas. You will work to agreed standards and checklists to ensure every guest arrives to a room that looks, feels and smells immaculate. This is a hands-on role that suits someone with high standards, good stamina, and pride in a job well done.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Rooms and Bathrooms: Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to company standards (bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bin emptying, replenishing amenities). Change linen and towels in line with occupancy and environmental policies. Check rooms carefully for maintenance issues, damage or missing items and report them promptly. Ensure all in-room items (tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, robes, hairdryers, etc) are clean, complete and neatly presented.
- Public Areas: Maintain cleanliness and presentation of corridors, stairs, entrances and other guest areas as required. Support with cleaning of public toilets and back-of-house areas when needed.
- Laundry & Stock: Sort, count and prepare linen for collection and delivery. Put away clean linen and manage rotation (first in, first out). Keep housekeeping stores tidy, organised and safe. Monitor levels of cleaning products, guest amenities and linen and report when orders are needed.
- Standards, Safety & Teamwork: Follow all cleaning checklists and daily/weekly housekeeping routines. Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in line with COSHH and site training. Follow company health and safety, fire and security procedures at all times. Respect guest privacy, follow key procedures, and handle lost property correctly.
