We are looking for a friendly, confident and reliable Bartender to join the team at The Cricketers on the Green in Pirbright. The Cricketers on the Green is a beautiful food‑led country pub, focused on warm hospitality, great drinks, seasonal food and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who enjoys looking after guests, takes pride in a well‑run bar, and understands that the little details make the large difference.
About The Role
As Bartender, you will be part of the front of house team, helping to create a warm and professional guest experience from the moment someone walks through the door.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks to the agreed company and site standards.
- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Keep the bar clean, stocked and organized throughout service.
- Support with wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks.
- Make sure guests are served efficiently, accurately and with care.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge and continue learning about the drinks list.
- Follow all licensing, Challenge 25, health and safety and company procedures.
- Handle payments correctly through the till system.
- Support the floor team when needed, including running drinks and clearing tables.
- Restock fridges, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies.
- Check dates, rotate stock and help reduce waste.
- Help create a positive, calm and professional atmosphere for guests and the team.
What we are looking for
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is helpful, but the right attitude is most important.
