Little & Large Pub Company are looking for an exceptional and creative Head Chef for their brand new site, The Leicester Arms Country Inn in Penshurst, Kent. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Gastro Pub and restaurant background with a passion to work only with fresh ingredients and enjoy leading a kitchen to deliver great dishes enjoyed by all.

The pub was restored to its former glory by the Little & Large Pub Company in mid 2024 with a multimillion pound refurbishment and since then has become a much loved destination. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to work in an award-winning and critically acclaimed group.

You will be working alongside the Senior Leadership Team to add your flair and innovation to elevate our offering to a BIB and Rosette standard.

  • Prior experience as a Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or pub
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and ready for a new challenge
  • Experienced in handling high-volume service
  • Strong understanding of food trends and seasonal UK ingredients
  • A creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Proven capability to lead, train, and inspire a kitchen team
  • Experience in managing labour costs, scheduling, and staff rotas
  • Competence in finance, purchasing, menu pricing, controlling stock and GP
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, compliance, and procedures
  • Able to spot and resolve problems efficiently
