Are you passionate about creating brighter futures for children? At Little Green Rascals – Flaxton, we’re looking for a Bank Early Years Educator to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and let’s make a difference together!
A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable for this role.
Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
Pay: £10 – £12.47 per Hour *plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Zero hour contract – this gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs.
Location: Little Green Rascals Children\’s Day Nursery Flaxton, Draft Farm, Flaxton, North Yorkshire, YO60 7QP
About Our Nursery
Based in a charming farmhouse, our nursery is the perfect setting for our outdoor-focused learning-environment centred around the importance of playing in nature, and we make full use of that each day. At Little Green Rascals Flaxton we provide care for up to 60 children, each one benefiting from our unique approach that encourages exploration, curiosity, and a love for the great outdoors. Although we’re tucked away in Flaxton, finding us is easy, as we’re close to the A64 between York and Malton.
What Your Role Involves
As a valued member of our team, you’ll:
- Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
- Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
