We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and have a genuine love for working with children. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while leading a team of childcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children’s development in line with early years frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and attendance.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery’s reputation within the community.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and well-organised at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare and 3 years’ work experience with early years children within a management role. Supervisory experience is essential.
- Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare management is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence would be advantageous for any off-site activities or meetings.
