Salary: £34,580 per annum (£15.20 per hour)
Hours: Full Time – All Year Round
Working Hours: Between 07:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday (43.75 hours per week)
About the Role
Little Giggles Nursery is seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the management of our wonderful Audenshaw setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years professional who enjoys supporting staff, maintaining high standards of care, and helping children reach their full potential. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate and hardworking, with excellent organisational and management skills.
Entry Requirements
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare (minimum)
- At least two years' experience working with children in a Deputy Management role
- Supervisory experience
- A clear enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
- Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
Key Skills

Job Responsibilities
You will help provide high quality care for babies and young children aged birth to 5 years, and support the running of the afterschool and holiday club. Responsibilities include:
- Creating a safe, stimulating and engaging environment that promotes learning
- Updating parents and carers on children's development and progress
- Working closely with colleagues to meet individual children's needs
- Ensuring equipment and resources are safe and well maintained
Management Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager you will also support with:
- Recruiting and developing nursery staff
- Supporting and mentoring the nursery team
- Managing budgets
- Arranging marketing materials
- Maintaining records and preparing management reports
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety and fire regulations
- Keeping up to date with developments in early years education
- Building strong relationships with schools, agencies and childcare professionals
- Attending training sessions both in and out of work hours
- Working closely with the Nursery Owner and Area Manager to ensure the nursery meets Ofsted and EYFS standards
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- Level 3 Childcare qualification (minimum)
- At least two years of managerial experience
- Previous experience in a similar Deputy Manager role
