The Role
We are looking for an experienced and confident Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of Little Genius Day Nursery. You will have overall operational responsibility for safeguarding, EYFS quality, people leadership, compliance, parent experience and nursery performance, and will act as, or be capable of acting as, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and effective daily operation of the nursery.
- Maintain excellent safeguarding and EYFS standards.
- Lead, coach and develop the nursery team.
- Manage staffing, ratios, deployment and performance.
- Promote strong SEND and inclusive practice.
- Build excellent relationships with parents and carers.
- Lead quality improvement and Ofsted readiness.
- Manage occupancy, staffing costs and operational budgets.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, health and safety.
About You
Essential
- Level 3+ relevant Early Years qualification.
- Strong nursery leadership/management experience.
- Excellent EYFS and safeguarding knowledge.
- Strong people-management and communication skills.
- Confident, organised and commercially aware.
Desirable
- Previous Nursery Manager experience.
- DSL experience/training.
- Paediatric First Aid.
- SEND and Ofsted experience.
