Little Flyers Pre-School is a community-run setting in the heart of Sway village. We are proud of our welcoming environment, strong community links and commitment to providing children with the best possible start to their early education.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and caring Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our team and lead the day-to-day running of our toddler room. Along with the setting manager, you will help ensure the smooth and effective running of the room, providing high-quality care and learning experiences that support every child's development.
About the role:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day running of the toddler room, including half termly planning, managing staff during the working day and ensuring regulatory requirements and safeguarding procedures are met.
- Taking responsibility in the manager’s absence and being a key holder to open and close as needed.
- Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Supporting children's learning, development and individual needs.
- Acting as a key person, building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
About you:
You will have a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and at least two years of recent experience working in a nursery or pre-school setting. You will be confident in taking the lead, passionate about early years education and committed to providing high standards of care and learning. We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and organised, and who enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
