The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
We are hiring an experienced Senior Technical Transition Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This is a highly technical role focused on bringing new customers into service, leading technical due diligence, deploying tooling, documenting environments, and ensuring a smooth transition into operational support. You’ll work across a broad range of technologies, engaging directly with customers, third parties, and internal technical teams to deliver successful service transitions.
- Leading technical due diligence activities for new customer estates.
- Assessing infrastructure, services, tools and operational readiness before acceptance into service.
- Deploying Littlefish standard tooling across customer environments.
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Providing early life support following customer onboarding activities.
- Acting as a technical authority during service transition projects.
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure a seamless handover into support.
- Contributing to technical projects across infrastructure and transition functions.
- Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
- Occasionally supporting the resolution of complex, high-impact incidents and problems.
- Helping shape technical standards, processes, and future service capabilities.
What we are looking for:
You will be an experienced infrastructure engineer who is comfortable leading technical onboarding activities, assessing customer environments and ensuring services are successfully transitioned into operational support. You’ll have strong stakeholder management skills, enjoy solving complex technical challenges and be confident working independently or as part of a wider engineering team.
Key experience and skills:
- Strong Windows Server infrastructure knowledge, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI and PowerShell.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra, M365, Intune, and SCCM or other endpoint management platforms.
- Good understanding of networking, security, and cloud technologies, including Azure.
- Experience deploying and supporting service management, monitoring, and backup tooling.
- Proven experience producing technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and operational handovers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting service transitions, technical governance activities, and operational readiness processes.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102, SC-300, CCNA or CCNP would be beneficial, although equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
