The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:

Are you ready to take a leading role in shaping exceptional modern workplace experiences? We’re looking for a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer who blends deep technical expertise with people focused leadership. This role sits at the heart of our Modern Workplace capability perfect for someone who loves solving complex challenges, supporting others to grow, and influencing best practice across the business. You will:

  • Lead a team of engineers, including 1:1s, PDRs, performance management and development discussions.
  • Allocate work, ensure resource alignment and maintain SLA/KPI compliance.
  • Act as a senior engineer and escalation point for technical queries.
  • Support End User MIs as a technical specialist.
  • Approve high-risk technical changes.
  • Identify automation opportunities and deploy automation solutions.
  • Deliver technical projects and support onboarding of new customers.
  • Operate as the technical SME for Microsoft EUC Management.
  • Propose incremental improvements and enhance design documentation.
  • Act as a key customer contact, providing infrastructure thought leadership.
  • Feed into our Intune/EUC Management roadmaps and capability development.
  • Work closely with the Head of Modern Workplace, Head of Infrastructure and wider leadership to promote best practice.

Who you are:

You’ll succeed in this role if you bring strong technical capability, leadership confidence and a passion for developing others:

  • Experience working in an MSP or enterprise environment.
  • Strong Intune and associated product knowledge (Defender, Endpoint Analytics).
  • Hands-on experience with new Microsoft roadmap technologies.
  • Windows build and image creation expertise.
  • Intune/MDM and AD administration experience.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Certified with MD-102, AZ-104 and MS-102.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong time management and confidence handling multiple priorities.
  • Able to work independently, show initiative and motivate others.
  • Diplomatic, collaborative and team minded.
