HSDC is looking to recruit a Work Ready Trainer on a Cross Campus role. The role will require the candidate to be competent in the delivery of a variety of courses that are designed to move adult learners closer to the employment sector. The role requires the candidate to be qualified in Assessing, Internal Quality Assurance and hold a teacher training qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out appropriate training and assessment workload as agreed with your line manager
  • Agree and review learning programmes with DWP, Employers and Partnership Co-ordinators
  • Undertaking all assessment, marking and grading of regulated courses both online and in the classroom
  • Design bespoke courses of non-regulated training to meet specific JCP demands for their customers
  • Develop and deliver training/coaching sessions (small groups and one to one) as appropriate to their experience and adult needs
  • Undertake IQA responsibilities for appropriate adult courses

Requirements

  • Work-Based Trainers qualification (A1 or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of up-to-date work-based assessor skills
  • IQA qualification
  • Literacy, numeracy and ICT skills at level 2 or above
  • Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
