We are seeking a Third in Charge & SENCO to join our management team in our Greenwich nursery. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily operations, providing leadership, and ensuring high-quality childcare services.

Duties:

  • Manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager
  • Oversee staff and children to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent childcare practices
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in nursery operations
  • Support the team in delivering outstanding care and education

The SENCO part of the role will involve assessing and supporting children that may need additional support, completing referrals and liaising with parents and other professionals to ensure the best opportunities are provided for the child. There will be allocated office time each week to complete admin tasks for the SENCO role.

Skills:

  • Minimum Level 3 or above in Childcare.
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate staff
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Valid driving licence for potential travel requirements
  • Proficient in English language for effective interaction with all parties
  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or relevant field

Key Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Nursery Practitioner to be based in our Greenwich Nursery. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas. You can earn up to £32,760 per annum, depending on experience, working Full time (40 hours per week) – 4 days a week.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Nursery Practitioner role or equivalent
  • Level 2 / 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
  • Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children
