Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Field Support Staff member to join our team. This key role will provide on-the-ground support across our 7 sites, ensuring quality standards are maintained and operational challenges, such as staff-to-child ratios, are effectively managed. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about childcare and early education who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Support nursery managers and teams to uphold the highest quality standards in care and education. Provide feedback and guidance to staff to enhance learning environments and daily practices.
- Ratio Support: Assist with staff coverage to ensure compliance with staff-to-child ratios at all sites. Step into rooms to support teams during peak times, absences, or emergencies.
- Operational Support: Work closely with managers to address immediate operational needs. Act as a liaison between nurseries and the central team, communicating challenges and solutions effectively.
- Training and Development: Mentor staff to improve practices and maintain consistency across all sites. Assist with the onboarding of new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into their roles.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and uphold all health and safety policies and procedures. Address any compliance issues proactively to maintain a safe and secure environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior childcare role, such as Deputy Manager, Manager, or Area Support.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
- A proactive problem-solver who can adapt to different settings and challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- Flexibility to travel between sites and work across different locations as needed.
