About the role
We are a leading family run group of 11 established nurseries across South London. Little Elms has supported employees in growing professionally, changing roles and locations to meet goals. We are looking for a skilled, experienced and motivated Deputy Manager for our nursery in Lee. This is an ideal step for a Senior Room Manager or a current Deputy seeking a new role. The day-to-day involves supporting the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the nursery, while ensuring a safe, stimulating and educational environment for children and staff. This is a floating role, with responsibilities across rooms and potential SENCO duties. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities with bright indoor spaces and outdoor areas. Salary up to £39,000 per annum, depending on experience, for 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the nursery
- Provide a safe, stimulating and educational environment for children
- Operate in a floating capacity across rooms and take on SENCO responsibilities where appropriate
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role or equivalent
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
- Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to use own initiative
- Passion for working with children
- Coaching & mentoring abilities
