We are seeking a Third in Charge & SENCO to join our management team in our Greenwich nursery. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily operations, providing leadership, and ensuring high-quality childcare services.
- Manage the nursery in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager
- Oversee staff and children to maintain a safe and nurturing environment
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent childcare practices
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in nursery operations
- Support the team in delivering outstanding care and education
The SENCO part of the role involves assessing and supporting children that may need additional support, completing referrals and liaising with parents and other professionals to ensure the best opportunities are provided for the child. There will be allocated office time each week to complete admin tasks for the SENCO role.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 or above in Childcare
- Experience working with children in an early years setting
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate staff
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Valid driving licence for potential travel requirements
- Proficient in English language for effective interaction with all parties
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or relevant field
The role is based in our Greenwich Nursery, which offers state-of-the-art facilities with bright, spacious indoor rooms and outdoor areas. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) β typically 4 days a week. You can earn up to Β£32,760 per annum depending on experience.
