We Realise Potential in Your Story. Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award-winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Senior Content Manager, focused on YouTube, to join our Network team.
The role of a Senior Content Manager includes overseeing a team of Content Managers to ensure all assets and metadata uploaded to the channels and platforms are of the highest quality. They are also expected to strategise and analyse to help the channels grow through Google Analytics. This role will oversee a range of brands including Real Wild, Wonder, Real Crime, and Wild Weather, spanning topics such as nature & wildlife, survival & the human impact on the environment, and crime & law and order. The chosen candidate must have demonstrable experience of managing and growing channels on YouTube, demonstrating awareness of platform best practices and a strong understanding of audience behaviour.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
- Own the output (videos, GIFs, graphics) for an assigned group of channels or brands on YouTube - controlling editorial output across all platforms and ensuring that they continue to grow and expand across all key metrics.
- Work closely with the Programming Manager to support their wider strategic goals and direction.
- Own the channel strategy, ensuring that each channel has a strong and consistent voice, subscriber communities are being engaged using community posts.
- Ensure that each individual channel brand is consistent with the correct tone of voice and the highest editorial standards.
- Manage the workflow of a team of Content Managers to ensure that the highest standards of attention to detail are adhered to and best practice is being implemented rigorously across all channels including but not limited to thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, groups, durations, etc.
- Help in preparing reports and quarterly business reviews for department senior staff, key partners in other departments, and sometimes to external parties explaining channel performance and ensuring contribution to client or company goals.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining all channel schedules, ensuring the best possible content is being distributed with regular interrogation of content performance.
- Liaise with the Acquisitions Team to ensure they have accurate information on high performing content across channels, providing wish lists and data as required.
- Respond to Acquisitions team requests to prioritise and utilise key client content in a timely and constructive manner within the broader department's framework.
- Day-to-day liaison & training of the Content Managers to educate in all relevant channel management tasks.
- Preparation of insights/data as requested by Programming Managers, Executive Editors, or the Managing Director.
- To suggest new channels and sub-genres to develop and launch and conduct analysis of the market trends to back up those launches.
- Oversee channel management workflow and work with your Programming Manager and Head of Network Operations to proactively enhance areas of improvement.
What You Need to Succeed: Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything. Excellent knowledge of the YouTube ecosystem and its content discovery algorithm. A desire to expand channels to their maximum ability with new strategies adhering to the ever-changing YouTube algorithms. Understanding YouTube analytics in order to effectively monitor channel progress and ideate new channel launches and wider distribution strategies. A demonstrable understanding of the design fundamentals needed for successful channel branding and video optimisation. Great organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload according to key business, team, and individual priorities. Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and an interest in taking on additional responsibilities.
