Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Production Assistant to join the Podcast team in History Hit. This role presents an excellent opening for someone with a background in similar production-based positions. As the Production Assistant, you will drive research efforts and handle administrative duties, while offering vital support to our team throughout every phase from development to post-production. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates clear expertise in the field, backed by either a solid history in production or an appropriate educational qualification. Please be advised that a UK Driving License is a requirement for this role.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Providing support to the Production team during the development, production and post production of our projects
  • Conducting research tasks, due diligence, fact checking and proofreading for the Head of Programming and Producers
  • Attending Production meetings
  • Maintaining the HH Kit Room and in-house Camera/Lighting Equipment - this includes checking equipment in and out for shoots, and updating the internal company kit calendar
  • Assisting with the hire of studio spaces, filming & lighting equipment, props and ad hoc production items
  • Supporting administrative tasks including booking accommodation, flights and catering; and filing and scanning production documents, freelancer contracts, reconciling petty cash and running the production credit card log
  • Maintain ad Hoc duties to support the team as they work on a wide variety of projects, and assisting with the general upkeep of the Production Office
  • Periodically stepping in as a runner on our shoots when necessary

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Previous experience in Production or a relevant educational qualification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers and freelancers
  • Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability for problem solving and sound decision making, especially in limited time
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office and G-Suite
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Bonus: Basic technical knowledge of Camera/Lighting equipment
  • Bonus: Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite
  • Bonus: Experience in Data Wrangling on set
