HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine high-level requirements, helping to translate them into clear technical project scopes, delivery roadmaps and structured project plans.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data and analytics teams to break down requirements into deliverable tasks, user stories and technical workstreams.
  • Facilitate agile delivery across Software Development and Data Science teams with clearly defined objectives, aligning engineering work with product and business goals:
    • Conduct sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives;
    • Identify blockers, technical risks and resourcing constraints, and coordinate solutions across teams;
    • Support the management of technical dependencies between systems, data pipelines and internal tools, ensuring teams have the information they need to deliver efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts including delivery roadmaps, timelines, technical documentation, risk logs, budgets and resource plans.
  • Track delivery progress through project management tools and provide regular reporting on project status, delivery metrics and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Work with team leads to manage team capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring realistic delivery timelines for technical work.
  • Coordinate cross-team collaboration where projects require contributions from multiple disciplines such as engineering, data science, analytics and reporting teams.
  • Manage and coordinate work delivered by external development resources, ensuring technical deliverables meet agreed standards and timelines.
  • Proactively manage scope changes, technical risks, system dependencies and delivery constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical priorities, delivery expectations and project outcomes.
  • Balance day-to-day task management with a broader understanding of how projects contribute to the wider Data, Tech and Product roadmap and platform evolution.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Strong experience in project management, ideally delivering technology, data or analytics projects.
  • Experience working with software development teams, data engineering teams or analytics teams in a delivery or project management capacity.
  • Comfortable delivering both fast-paced iterative projects and longer-term platform or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing sprint delivery.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving software development, data platforms, APIs, reporting tools or internal technical systems.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and best practices (Asana experience is a bonus).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured technical workstreams and delivery plans.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical contributors.
  • Experience delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

While not mandatory, the following skillsets are extremely advantageous and desirable:

  • Basic technical understanding of data flows, data pipelines, APIs and coding languages such as Python, SQL or PHP.
  • Certifications such as PRINCE2, AgilePM or Scrum Master.
