Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award‑winning digital content studio and media network currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team at History Hit, part of Little Dot Studios and the UK’s biggest digital history brand.
As Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and evolving History Hit's SVOD platform during a key phase of growth and development. You will ensure the needs of our existing subscriber base remain front and centre as the platform evolves, embedding customer insight into every stage of delivery. By balancing user needs with commercial objectives, you will help us meet – and exceed – customer satisfaction KPIs at a pivotal moment in our product journey.
Working closely with the Product Lead, you will bring a clear product perspective to the development of HistoryHit.com, ensuring priorities are driven by validated user requirements, measurable outcomes, and strategic business goals. You will champion initiatives that enhance the end‑to‑end subscriber experience and define the services required to support it across the SVOD ecosystem.
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable product management experience, ideally within digital, subscription, or content platforms. You’ll be commercially minded, collaborative, and confident translating customer insight into actionable product roadmaps that deliver measurable impact.
You may be required to work off‑site occasionally with our UK‑based (mostly London‑based) external agencies, or out‑of‑office hours to accommodate external partners who are ex‑UK. This role includes three days in‑office to work closely with the Product Lead.
PERKS OF THE JOB
We are proud to be an award‑winning, B Corp™ Certified workplace with employee wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We offer hybrid and flexi‑time working, mental health and wellbeing programmes, enhanced gender‑neutral parental leave, interest‑free financial support, and a digital nomad policy that allows you to work from abroad in two one‑week blocks a year. Plus all the usuals such as pension contributions, annual leave, and office perks like free lunches, socials, and health treatments.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Taking ownership of the interactions with our existing customer base, primarily via our Customer Support Platform (Zendesk). Specifically - Resolving customer support tickets, reporting on our customer satisfaction KPIs, and guiding and coordinating our offshore customer support agents.
- Ensuring that the customer needs we are not meeting across our SVOD platform are set to be addressed in our product strategy, and that the tooling, people, and processes required to do so are understood.
- Extending interaction with our customer base to other touch points across our product suite (e.g. In‑app comments, forums, Appstores etc) to help develop a wider view of who our users‑viewers‑customers are, and their needs/wants.
- In collaboration with our external agency, Scout Digital, and internal stakeholders (product, marketing, editorial), manage the product development of HistoryHit.com across two overlapping phases: 1. A re‑development and design refresh within the existing WordPress‑driven platform to lay the foundation for the longer‑term strategy for HistoryHit.com; 2. In partnership with the Product Lead, drive the Discovery phase of a ground‑up re‑build of HistoryHit.com, soliciting requirements across the editorial, TV production, Audio production, Scheduling, Marketing, and Analytics teams.
- In partnership with the Product Lead, project manage the integration of, and lead the user acceptance testing of, component parts of the SVOD Platform, most likely the integration of the SVOD platform provider’s proprietary features/services with third‑party services.
