Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Podcast Producer to join our team at History Hit. History Hit is part of Little Dot Studios and is the UK’s biggest digital history brand.
As the Podcast Producer, you will be responsible for editorial planning, guest sourcing, managing talent, and ensuring high‑quality podcast output. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with strong experience in audio and video production, excellent research and script‑writing skills, and experience with editing software. If you have a keen interest in history, podcasts, and storytelling, and can manage multiple project deadlines, this could be the opportunity for you.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Developing podcast ideas and treatments, researching and scriptwriting new and engaging ideas with confidence.
- Conducting in‑studio and on‑location recordings.
- Comfortably work with high‑profile talent and translating their needs to wider audiences.
- Incorporating an intersectional worldview into the work process, particularly for traditionally underrepresented viewpoints and stories.
- Recording, directing and self‑editing, with technical proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Audition and Premiere.
- Interpreting and communicating editorial feedback to the wider team while utilising collected data to inform editorial decisions.
- Managing multiple project deadlines across different teams, and therefore maintaining excellent timekeeping and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Showing a keen interest in history, podcasts, and storytelling—including having knowledge of History Hit and its podcast brands.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- A strong understanding of YouTube and its insights.
- Experience working in audio/video production, and recording both in‑studio and on location.
- Able to record, direct, and self‑edit with a technical understanding of editing software such as Adobe Audition and Premiere.
- Ability to generate engaging, creative ideas and treatments, and to demonstrate strong research and script‑writing skills.
- Strong people skills to work comfortably with high‑profile talent.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to diverse audiences and inclusivity, including viewpoints and stories that were traditionally underrepresented.
- Comfortable using data to proactively inform editorial decisions.
- Experience managing multiple project deadlines for different teams.
- A keen interest in history, podcasts, and storytelling as well as knowledge of History Hit and its podcast brands.
